Group Size

Spirit of History offers trips for smaller groups of travellers. This means that our hotels can be located very close to the sites we are visiting, even small town centres, such as Ypres, Verdun and Albert. The group size also enables everyone to connect with the guide and the rest of the group.

We aim for group sizes of around 8 people, when we travel in our own minibus, but 20 or more, can be accomodated. We aim to have good group dynamics as interaction between group members is an important aspect of our breaks. It makes the whole experience even more memorable and enjoyable.

Itineraries

Sprit of History has timed its travel details carefully, as can be seen from the breakdown of the itineraries. Thus, we are able to explore many areas, visiting some places in depth and getting away from the obvious tourist sites as well as seeing the more famous sites. We offer well balanced and satisfying tours. If, however, something interesting comes up, we are flexible enough to move away from the published itinerary, if the group wishes.

Value for Money

The informality of travelling as part of a smaller group allows for greater flexibility and a friendlier atmosphere. Larger tour groups can, however, be cheaper, as the organizer's fixed costs are spread out. Tour companies offering smaller group sizes can offer a richer, more personalised experience.
