Ypres Trip
Ashtead, Surrey - May 2007
What a truly splendid trip it was to Ypres. We would like to thank you and the team very much indeed for all your organisation before the event and for the hard work on the visit itself.
I think quite a lot of people know more about the Second World War and it was very good for us to go further back and learn about the terrible fighting in the Great War and the results of so much bloodshed.....
I will conclude by thanking you so much once again and we will look forward to the next trip.
Yours sincerely - Audrey Howe

Ypres Trip
Wallington, Surrey - May 2007
Just a few lines to say how much we enjoyed the trip to Ypres and to thank you for taking the trouble to organise such a wonderful trip for the parents.
We have long wished to visit the World War One sites and cemeteries, so this was the fulfilment of a long cherished ambition and it was every bit as humbling, moving and touching as we had anticipated.....
We also enjoyed spending time with the other parents, as well as familiarising ourselves with the pretty town of Ypres as we strolled along the roads.
With much appreciation - Liz and Steve Gibbon

Ypres Trip
Purley, Surrey - May 2007
Just a little note to say thank you so much for all the work and time you put in to the visit to Ypres. We had a wonderful trip. It was such an experience and so full of emotion and information. We would probably never have done this trip on our own and are so grateful to you for giving up your time to impart your knowledge and enthusiasm to us parents.
Thank you again, Yours sincerely - J and K Potter

Somme Battlefields Trip
Leigh, Lancashire - July 2006
I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful trip this weekend to the 90th Anniversary Commemorations to the Somme. The memorial service at Thiepval, with Prince Charles was very moving, and it was good to see how important the occasion appeared to be to so many people, after all this time.
Personally, I found the morning service at the Lochnagar Crater, even more emotional, with all the poppies and the religious nature of the commemorations, which as it started at 7.30 in the morning, added to the sense of tragedy and poignancy.
We were amazed by the story of the finding of the body of George Nugent, after 81 years (?), a few inches under the soil, in a well trodden tourist area, at the top of the crater. Thank you for taking us to his recently erected headstone and grave in the Ovilliers Cemetery, which was not on the itinerary.
Overall, it was a very humbling experience and has spurred me on to see if I can trace my relatives who were involved in the war. I am sure I will go back some day.
Best Wishes, Denis and Lily O’ Shaughnessy

Normandy D Day Beaches Trip
Brixton, London - June 2005
I really must thank you once again for the wonderful visit to the Normandy Landing Beaches. As usual, everything was well organised, with a comfortable coach and great company! ...........
This year we were especially looking forward to the trip, as you know, because my husband knew a relative of his was involved in D Day and had had an important job. He still has not got over the surprise of finding out his uncle, Terrence Otway, was in charge of the operation to knock out Merville Battery. It is sad when family’s argue then lose contact, leaving the younger generations without their family links to the past.
Warmest regards, Mr and Mrs Whitehead
