 This minibus trip consists of:
2 or 3 full days guided visits to key D Day sites. 1 or 2 nights at a 3* Hotel in Caen.

Day 1 consists of:
8:00 Depart Surrey/London area by coach for tunnel crossing to France.
11:00 Crossing
1:00 Lunch Honfleur.
2:30 Depart Honfleur
3:30 Arrive at Pegasus Bridge. Guided Museum tour, Cafe Gronde.
5:30 Coach to Merville Battery/Museum. Ranville Cemetery
7:00 Arrive in Caen. Check into hotel.
9:00 Evening free for dinner in Caen town centre.

Overall, Overlord required a total of 3 million men in 47 divisions, 6,000 ships to transport the troops and equipment, with aerial cover provided by 5,000 fighter planes. It was some achievement. On D Day itself and subsequent days, the plan was to move about 130,000 men, nearly 13,000 vehicles and take a uniquely designed artificial harbour.

Why was the gathering of equipment and men, needed for the invasion, such a huge logistical challenge? Where could they be gathered without attracting the attention of spies? How could they be kept in areas in the south of Britain without the Germans discovering exactly what was intended? How could the thousands of boats needed for the invasion be assembled, readied and loaded without making the invasion too obvious?

Day 2 consists of:
9:00 Coach to Ste Mere Eglise(not 3 day tour)and after Point du Hoc.
11:30 Tour of Omaha Beach and Colleville Cemetery.
1:30 Snack Lunch at Arromanches
2:30 Visit Arromanches and Museum.
3.30 Further visit to Gold Beach
5.00 Return to hotel or Calais if 2 day tour
5.30 Tour of Caen and its War remains.
7:00 Free time and dinner in Caen.

Day 3 consists of:
8.00 Breakfast
9:00 Coach to Utah Beach
10.30 Ste Mere Eglise. Visit Airborne Museum and town
12.00 Snack Lunch in St Mere Eglise
1.30 Visit German War Graves Cemetery at La Cambe.
2.30 Visit WW2 Museum or Tapestry at Bayeux.
4:00 Return journey to Calais.
8:00 Tunnel Crossing to England.

The cost of the tours;
3 Day Tour £339 per person sharing

Special price of £319 each, if booking for 4 people or more,
Single Supplement £40 per night.

The price includes a fully guided tour in a small group, 3*hotel accomodation in Caen on a BB basis, museum entrances, all transport, including pick up from prearranged departure points and a specially designed educational booklet designed for each tour.

In addition we visit sites or cemeteries requested by individuals, as well as organising bespoke tours.
