Sample Itinerary;
(All these places will be visited, but the order might vary).
Day 1;
Morning flight to Berlin from local airport. 13:00 approx. Arrive in Berlin. Bus to hotel in Central Berlin 2:00 Sightseeing and lunch in Central Berlin. It will include the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden and the Reichstag. We will go up into the dome, for a great view of the city and the exhibition about the parliament building. Visit the remains of the Berlin Wall. 20:00 Dinner in a central restaurant and a night walkabout tour in Berlin. Day 2;
8:00 Breakfast.
10:00 Visit to Checkpoint Charlie and the Museum. Guided tour around the main exhibitions.
1:00 Lunch at the Alexander Platz, where we will go up the revolving TV tower to eat and see all of Berlin from the air.
3:00 Afternoon visit to the Olympic Stadium and history of the 1936 Olympics.
6:00 Free time in city centre.
7:30 Dinner in a restaurant followed by a night walkabout tour in central Berlin.
Day 3;
8.00 Breakfast
9:00 Take train to Oranienburg to visit the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp
12: 00 Return to central Berlin for a snack lunch. Walkabout.
2:00 Train to the Wannsee and visit the Museum in the Wannsee Haus where the so called Final Solution was planned.
6:00 Return to Berlin city centre.
7:30 Go out for dinner and drinks.
Day 4;
8:00 Breakfast
9:00 Morning visit to Potsdam to see the Cecilienhof Palace where the Potsdam Conference was held. Also stroll around the parklands of the residences of the Prussian kings until 1918. There are a series of interconnected lakes and beautiful landscape. In fact the parks and palaces of Potsdam form one of the largest World Heritage sites in Germany.
The New Palace and Sans Souci Palace where the Royal Family used to live in Potsdam.
1:30 Lunch in the Old Town of Potsdam.
3:30 Return to Berlin.
4:30 Free time in the city centre for shopping etc
6:00 approx. Bus/train to airport for return flight.
Evening flight to England. Local airport if available.
